Norma Dorsey Elementary School is a public elementary school located in Rowlett, Texas (USA). Dorsey Elementary School enrolls students in grades K-5 and is a part of the Garland Independent School District.
In 2009, the school was rated "exemplary" by the Texas Education Agency.[6]

The school is named after Norma Dorsey, a long-time Garland educator who emphasized the importance of education to students. She strived for her students to become better citizens by sponsoring local chapters of Beta Club and National Honor Society. Dorsey retired from her occupation in 1987 and died in 1990.[1]
The school opened on August 12, 1996 to 602 students of the Garland Independent School District.[1]
The attendance rate for students at the school is 98%, compared with a state average of 96%. 33% of the students at Dorsey are economically disadvantaged, 9% enroll in special education, 2% enroll in gifted and talent programs, and 23% are considered "limited English proficient."[4]
The ethnic makeup of the school is 47% White, non-Hispanic, 33% Hispanic, 15% African American, 4% Asian/Pacific Islander, and 1% Native American.[4]
The average class sizes at Dorsey are 22 students for kindergarten, 18 students for first grade, 19 students for second grade, 21 students for third grade, 20 students for fourth grade, and 27 students for fifth grade.[4]
